Q. I get an error message in saying that I need to upgrade Internet Explorer to watch the video, how do I fix that?
A. That message comes from the Internet Explorer compatibility mode. To disable compatibility mode please do the following.
1. Press the ALT key on the keyboard while looking at the Live Event Center.
2. From the Tools Menu select Compatibility View Settings
3. If you see pbr.com listed in the box that says websites you have added to Compatibility view, click on it and click remove.
4. Verify the box that says Display all websites in Compatibility view is not checked.
5. Click Close
6. Reload the video in the chute.
Q. The show is on, and I have just upgraded my membership, but I can't access the premium content that I have paid for. Why?
A. After you upgrade your membership it takes about 10 minutes for the order to get through all parts of the system before you can access the content. You will have to log out of the Live Event Center, and then log back in.
Q. Why do I have to pay for Live Event Center access? This used to be free.
A. Live Event Center access is still free, however, as an added value to PBR Posse members, some pieces of the LEC are now premium content, namely detailed scoring, LIVE video and audio streaming, and LIVE photos.
Q. What can I access for free in the Live Event Center?
A. With a FREE membership, you can access LIVE scoring, behind-the-scenes blog entries from Keith Ryan Cartwright, as well as the ability to chat LIVE with bull riding fans around the world, are all features that are available for free.
Q. Since we are paying for Live Event Center access, why are some LIVE streams still a stationary camera where I can hardly tell what's going on?
A. Unfortunately, per our television contracts, we are not always able to show the TV style experience. Whenever possible, the LEC will feature a stream with up-close action and replays.
Q. What other premium digital content do I have access to?
A. PBR Posse members will have access to PBR 360, with exclusive in-depth features, full television broadcasts from earlier in the season, exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and videos, among other premium content.
Q. The Live Event Center is not loading correctly, looks funny, or just is not working. What do I do?
A. The first thing to do is clear your cache. This is where your web browser stores a bunch of information about websites you have loaded. It does this so that the next time you go to the same website, it can load it more quickly. Follow the steps below to clear the cache in your favorite browser:
Internet Explorer 9:
Mozilla Firefox Version 12 or later:
Q. I have cleared my cache, and the Live Event Center STILL won't work for me!?
A. Our first request is that you try it in another web browser. If you use Internet Explorer, please try either Chrome or Firefox, you get the idea. We are not telling you that you have to change permanently, but this will help us identify your issue, and figure out how to get you back to your preferred web browser.
Secondly, if you can get into the chat, let us know what is happening and we may be able to give you other options in chat.
Lastly, email us at LECFeedback@pbr.com. Let us know what DID and DID NOT work for you. If you don't report it, we may not be able fix it. We do read the emails and respond where appropriate. If we don't get back to you within a week, please keep after us. Sometimes we get distracted with other things we are working on and do forget things.
Q. Why is the 'Listen Live!' audio always ahead of the video? - Or - Why is the video always lagging behind the 'Listen Live!' audio?
A. The audio for 'Listen Live!' and the audio and video for the live video feed currently run through two completely different systems. Until we can merge the two systems together, there will always be a difference in timing between the two of them.
Q. Why is the delay in the video not seem consistent, sometimes I am only seconds behind the live event, and sometimes it seems like minutes.
A. I don't want to bore you to death with the technical answer to this question. To make it short(er) I will state that there are many reasons. It all starts with your internet connection. The more time it takes for the video player from our website to talk to your computer and come to an agreement on all the settings needed to provide you the best possible viewing experience, the more delay you will see in the video. Sometimes you can reload the video and you will negotiate a quicker connection to the video which can shorten your delay.
Q. I clicked on the Daysheet link, and my computer tells me that I cannot open the file. Why?
A. The Daysheet is in the Adobe PDF format. If you cannot open the file, you most likely need to install Adobe Reader. Please go to www.adobe.com and download/install Adobe Reader.
